Back before the summer got busy and I forgot to show you, I painted this little cup of Sweet Williams.
Sweet Williams remind me of my childhood because my dad grew them on his allotment and it was one particular flower he didn’t mind cutting and bringing home to mum.
I l♡ved painting these flowers as there was lots of opportunity to let wet paint bleed into the next colour to help get that distinctive shape on the petals.
And the Liberty fabric is also a favourite to paint because it’s so jaunty and fresh. Happy memories all round 🙂
