I could look at these all day it’s such a calming scene. End of term is always frantic with work to be finished off and cleaning up to be done simultaneously, ready for the start of term in September. Yesterday was a (fun) slog, triple tasking and today I’m beat and glad to be in the calmer environment of home and looking at these instead.

This spring I discovered this flower. Bellis is like a common garden grass daisy and then some.

It’s head is larger and the petals are like rolled up tubes, the kind you might make with paper by quilling.

The design of these little unsuspecting beauties amazes me; the way the petals are perfectly rolled to tip any water straight down to the center.
