I’m keeping my New Year resolutions well so far with four days out of four at the paintbrush and another finished painting. I feel like I’m building up to something bigger and more complicated, but in the meantime I loved doing this sweet little pic. I’ve included a shot of the real thing next to the finished piece because the scale of the props is a bit of a head bender and it helps explain it. And a different colour palette than normal for me; decorating rooms in shades of grey must have worn off on me but I’m liking it.

Just popped back to see the progress of your painting! Wow! It’s wonderful, I love the various different surfaces and the colours. Btw, thanks for your kind comment on my pix – I do just point and shoot, but I do have a good camera (Hubby’s!) and I do always try to photograph in good natural light, and of course thanks to digital photography I can delete all the dark ones!
Looking forward to seeing what you paint next! Your work is so refreshing to see. Helen x
