I’m really excited to share some good news with you today ! Four of my surface pattern designs have been selected for a forthcoming coming book from The Pattern Base which will be their first publication to be self-released.
It’s a 250 page, full-colour book that will showcase textile, surface and print designs from artists and designers around the world including interviews from working artists.
The PatternBase began as a personal Tumblr created by surface designer, Kristi O’Meara in May of 2011.Since then it’s been placed in the Tumblr’s ‘Design Spotlight’ and has gained over 8,000 followers on their blog. The blog is an amazing resource for artists and designers - have a look and you will be hooked.
The plan is to donate a copy to each U.S. state’s main library and distribute these books for sale at independent bookstores around the U.S., as well as online - an e-book version of the publication is to be offered for purchase on lulu.com and amazon.com.
I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see it all in print.

Fan-blooming-tastic, so many well dones! I suppose this kind of makes you an author – how cool is that?
I wish you could make the top two designs into wallpaper, they would be perfect for two girls bedrooms in our house….
