I’ve just ordered 10 tonnes of gravel for weekend delivery – crikey – 10 tonnes!!
Our ‘vegetable garden’ looked currently looks like this, having been raised to the ground.
We are hoping to make it look a whole lot nicer beginning with the gravel so I made some inspiration boards to spark some ideas.
We have a lot of bricks to use up and I thought it would make the gravel more exciting if we made circle patterns around the base of the apple tree trunks.
But if you have more ideas or web-site recommendations to help us plan it, they would be gratefully received as we prepare to barrow 10 tonnes down the garden.

Blimey that’s going to be hard work Claire, the bricks round your apple trees sound lovely, we made a brick path once and it looked wonderful with lots of little plants growing through it. Don’t overdo it, mind yer backs, drink tea and good luck can’t wait to see the finished results!

If the mood boards are anything to go by it’s going to be gorgeous. I can’t wait to see the end result.
