Here are paintings two and three from last week’s creative outburst. I didn’t know I had it in me to paint four pictures in one week and go to work for three days and keep house etc, etc. It can’t last surely. The suggested grid composition made me think immediately of naturalists trays of butterflies. Once I’d started setting things into grids I could write a list as long as my arm of things that would look nice laid out; beginning with cupcakes.

It looks like you’re having a whale of a time Claire, nothing quite like having a mentor is there? Thinking in a different way can really bring something fresh to work, and rejuvenate us. And the result for your work is great. The butterflies are beautiful. Love Vanessa xxx
