I LOVE these colors – so deep, rich, vibrant.
Sorry to hear you’ve been sick – hope you’re on the mend now!

So determination, patience and perseverence payed off! it’s so lush and lovely! Who said painting was easy?- you show them to me and I will tell them all about it! Its a terror- but we love it don’t we?
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments-
And by the way, I love the video you have posted with the artist painting the wall- I want to too…

I just saw your post on Winifred Nicholson- I am so happy you mention that she was never credited for introducing the idea of object on front of the open scenery. I too was under the impression that Mary Fedden was the first to use that.
Thank you!

Aaaahhh gorgeous! So glad you persevered, it really paid off. I knew you’d end up with a stunning painting, well done Claire. The colours are lovely and rich, and the balance between them and the background works beautifully. Love the sumptous vase. I imagine it’s the success of this painting that’s spurred you on to do the Hyacinths! You must be building up quite a collection of paintings now? Are you working towards approaching a gallery? Love Vanessa xxx
